Keeping your automobile clean is very important. In this modern age we have made our vehicles less about a workhorse and more about a personal item that we can show off and take with us everywhere we go. Thus we must keep them clean, with the proper tires and an overall oil change will keep your automobile safe and save you money at the same time.

First of all when you are cleaning the car’s body you need to use the right gloves and other items to keep your hands safe. When using your hands you need to make sure you do not scratch the paint as well as the body of the vehicle. You will also want to make sure you use a pressure washer or similar item when doing the cleaning because if it scratches the paint it will definitely cost you money. Make sure you inspect the exterior of the car as well so you will know what works and what doesn’t.

When you are washing the exterior of the car, you need to remember to use the soap and water method with the common sense approach. Wash everything from the headlights to the interior so the paint and interior are properly cleaned. To be on the safe side always run a hose down the middle of the windshield to the bottom of the trunk so there is no water that can get into the car.

Now when you are taking care of the tires, you will want to run the tire with the air compressor to let it work properly. Then once you have done that just push the tire down and in one direction until it stops. If you can use your hands to push the tire in a straight line then do so.

The other thing you want to be sure to clean is the car fluids. You need to inspect the lines for wear and replace any that are worn out. If you do not change the lines often it could cause serious issues if you are on the road.

When it comes to oil, you will want to run it down in one direction to make sure it flows the right way. Make sure you remove the filters and replace them when necessary. Also check the engine oil dipstick. It should be pretty full of oil.

Always check the timing belt because it is easily replaced. Make sure you check the belts when they are tight and not leaking. After you tighten the belts once you will want to do a tune up because you want to make sure the belts are in good shape.

Lastly you want to make sure you change the oil filter every time you change the oil. This is to help keep the oil clean so you don’t have to keep changing it. Of course you do not want to change the oil too often if you do this than you can risk having the car going haywire.
